Dividing the Work  (Tasks and Responsibilities)

There are many ways that job sharers can share or divide the tasks and responsibilities of a position. A lot depends on the requirements of the job and the skills, experience and preferences of each partner.


Sharers can: be jointly responsible for all aspects of the job.  

Example: Two administrative assistants jointly provide logistical and administrative support to a finance department.  Both maintain calendar and vacation records, coordinate meetings, schedule appointments and manage the flow of documents during the days and hours they are working.
